Join the ACTkids eMail Network
The CYPC believes it is important for children and young people to be able to have their say on issues that affect them.
In January 2009, the CYPC launched the ACTkids eMail Network.
The network consists of an email link (ACTkids@act.gov.au) between the CYPC and children and young people. The purpose of the network is to allow the CYPC to consult broadly with children and young people, and to provide children and young people with a mechanism to stay in touch with the CYPC.
Current membership of the network is about 2,000 children and young people from across Canberra.
Children and young people who join the network receive occasional emails from the CYPC on issues of interest. For example, members of the network might be invited by the CYPC to:
- Fill in a quick online survey about a topic of interest to children and young people.
- Attend a forum or meeting with other children and young people to talk about issues of importance.
- Comment on current CYPC work or activities.
Members of the network also have the opportunity to win iPods, shopping vouchers, theatre and sporting tickets etc.
If you are under 18 years of age, and would like to join the network, just send an email to ACTkids@act.gov.au with 'join' in the subject heading. Or, call us on 6205 2222, and we can add you to the network.
We won't give your email address to anyone else, and you can change your mind and take your email address off the list anytime.
Also, we won't spam you!!
