Do you have something to tell the Commissioner?

Jodie, the ACT Children and Young People Commissioner (CYPC), loves to hear from kids, teens, and young people in the ACT. Here are some of the ways you can have your say about the work we do:

Young Influencer Network

If you are 14 to 24 and want to influence the work we do, join the Young Influencer Network. When you are part of the network we will ask you directly what you think about important issues. You will influence our work in real time and can contribute to things like government submissions, advocacy, program design and more! Join today!

Young Thinkers at Work

We have a work experience program for years 9-12 students. If you are interested in coming to work for us as part of your week-long schoolwork placement, contact us at actkids@act.gov.au.

Young Thinker Forum

If you are a child or young person under 25 years old, tell us about issues you feel strongly about. Have your say, in your way on the Young Thinker Forum.

HRC Child Safe Standards Statement of Commitment

We are committed to protecting and promoting the rights, safety, and wellbeing of children and young people. We are actively implementing the 10 Child Safe Standards in a way that is culturally safe and inclusive for all children and young people, including by respecting and valuing the diverse and unique identities and experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people, and their families.

We take a zero-tolerance approach to child abuse, and will seek to ensure all employees, volunteers, contracted staff, and executives uphold their responsibilities.
