Online info session on changes to ACT Discrimination Act, 30 April

From 11 April 2024, the areas of public life protected by the ACT Discrimination Act will expand and the scope of some of the exceptions will narrow. New positive duties will also be introduced, including a duty to make reasonable adjustments across all protected attributes.

Would you like to know more? The ACT Human Rights Commission and Canberra Community Law are co-hosting an online information session on 30 April 2024, 12:30-1:30pm outlining the changes in more detail.

The session aims to help interested members of the community and community services to understand what will be the same, different and altogether new when the amendments to the Discrimination Act commence.
